One feed to rule them all

Yesterday I tried to subscribe to this blog via Bloglines, and to my horror it said there were no feeds available. What?!? Of course there’s a feed — it’s right there on my sidebar! And it wasn’t just this blog, it was Bookland and Beyond, too.

So this morning I set out to fix it. I’d installed the WordPress Feedburner feed redirection plugin, so that http://topofthemountains.net/feed would redirect to the Feedburner feed. One feed to rule them all, one feed to find them, you get the gist of it. (Not to mention SmartFeed. Mmm.)

Anyway, I found Chad Dickerson’s post, Hard lesson learned with Feedburner and Bloglines. Turns out I hadn’t changed the autodiscovery links (tip #2) in header.php in my theme. Did that and it shows up in Bloglines now. Phew.

Well, almost. For some reason Bookland is still saying there are no feeds available. Weird. And Outside the Box still only shows the normal WordPress feed instead of the autodiscovered version (Feedburner). It doesn’t really matter, because the normal feed redirects to Feedburner, but it makes me wonder if something’s wrong under the hood…

So…
One Feed to rule them all, One Feed to find them
One Feed to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them
