No, nothing yet. International Cinema was supposed to have three shows this week, but the website shows nothing and there wasn't anything going on when I stopped by the other day. Maybe they're on vacation. Anyway, as soon as I hear something, I'll leave a comment here with the results.

I too thought of consecration when I saw those words flash up on the screen. Probably coincidence. Or inspiration from the same source. :)

Anyway, it's been almost a year since the BYU screenings. They wrote it up in the Daily Universe back at the beginning of March. It would be good to have more screenings, though, since the Varsity Theater can only hold so many people. (Hmm, I wonder if International Cinema has already filled all its slots for winter... It's a larger theater, and they usually show films several times throughout the week. With enough publicity... I'll e-mail them and see.)

Ben,

I wasn't aware that BYU did a screening of this.. I've been emailing back and forth w/ the BYUSA president trying to organize one, so perhaps that's not a good idea since it's already been done?

The first time I watched the docu, I was slammed with the spirit at the end, when the mention those three ways we can help. Time, talent and money. Ring a bell? It's consecration.

The law of consecration is that we consecrate our time, our talents, and our money and property to the cause of the Church —Bruce R. McConkie

Amazing how dead on they were with what consecration is all about...

One of the things I love about Invisible Children is that not only are they helping the people get on their feet, but they're also doing a lot to raise awareness. Before seeing this film I never knew the problem existed. I had a screening (as you read on my blog) last week to show some friends the film, and none of them had known about it either. Each person who has seen it has said that they've been changed, and have come to feel overwhelming gratitude for what they've been blessed with.

But it's not enough. We must do something. If all we can do is email everybody we know that Google Video link so that they watch it too, then at least it's something. We can buy a bracelet to support the cause and have a way to share with others (when they see us wearing it) the story of how it came to be.

Anywho, thanks for posting this and spreading the word.
