The risk with brave thoughts is that we actually go through with whatever it is that's got us nervous, and when we realize what we've done it's really easy to second-guess ourselves. That's when I start singing "Into the Fire" (from The Scarlet Pimpernel) or "The Impossible Dream" (from The Man from La Mancha) or "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go" or "I Need Thee Every Hour" (from the hymnbook). :)

And yes, fear wreaks havoc on the digestive system. Surgeon-General's Warning: Quitting Anxiety Now Greatly Reduces Serious Risks to Your Health. :P

Ben,
Think brave thoughts! That was the idea that came into my head yesterday after having a day filled with fear (which doesn’t help your digestive system at all). I read a quote from "As a Man Thinketh", and I decided it wasn’t too risky to "think" brave thoughts. Only problem is, now as I’m off to go to a square dance in a half hour, I’m thinking that maybe brave thoughts aren’t such a good idea. :)

Some of my nervousness has gone away, for reasons which will become apparent in my next post (which is due within the next couple of hours, depending on when I get all this ward conference prep work done). But not all. Thanks. :)

LOL, was it that obvious? ~sigh~ :) To my credit, I did try last night, but no answer. Monday it shall be. And if she ends up reading this, let me blush in advance. :)
