Eye candy

Categories: Photography

Over Father’s Day I took a bunch of pictures, and since it’s bedtime and I haven’t yet posted today (and I didn’t post yesterday), here’s some cop-out eye candy. :)

Now, there are many, many more, so head on over to my Flickr page to see them. There are even a few with people! :P

Ben,

These are awesome photos. I like the last one best, but I like the ones on flickr even better, especially the one of your siblings making faces. They are adorable. You have a lot of talent.

Just curious. Do you sell these photos?

amelia: Thanks. :)

J: Thanks. :) People are far more interesting subjects, I think, but it’s taking me a while to get rid of my inhibitions about bothering people (by taking their photos). Family members are the most accessible, but I’ll admit that I hesitate plastering their pictures all over the web, because if something bad were to happen, I’d feel absolutely terrible. I have no qualms about posting pictures of complete strangers, though. :)

mf: No, I’ve never really cared about selling my work. I’m sure I could make some money off it, but I don’t think there’s a commercial bone in my body. It’s not that I’m morally opposed to it — it’s just that it’s far too much hassle, and I don’t particularly need the money (I have a regular job), and I’d rather just make it available for free. So you can download the originals off Flickr and get prints made if you so desire, and that’s fine by me. Maybe someday I’ll start offering prints, but it won’t be anytime soon. (I think I might try to marry someone who’s savvy at this sort of thing so she can take care of it all for me. ;))

Ben, the pictures are great. I especially like the last one as well.

That is great to know. I have been looking for some art to hang up in my house, and I really liked your pics.

I like the bee.

Julia: Thanks. :)

mf: Glad you like them, and I hope they go well with your house. :)

Katherine: So do I. I’ve adopted it, in fact, and named it Melissa. (Melissa is Greek for “bee.” Thus melissophobia is fear of bees, not fear of Melissas. Aren’t we all glad, now? If only we had a reader named Melissa on here…) Just kidding. (About the adoption — “melissa” really does mean “bee,” though.)
