There’s no place like home

Categories: Web, Cool Stuff

Google Maps now lets you fix your house on the map. Brilliant idea, really — crowdsource for better accuracy. Besides, people care about where they live, more than Google does, and so they’ll want to get it right. (Not everybody, of course, and this is assuming that some smart-aleck doesn’t start moving things around willy-nilly, but Google wisely lets you see where it originally was, too, so you can move it back to the correct place if necessary.) It’s like Wikipedia for maps, almost. Way to go, Google.
