Katherine: LOL, yeah, it's kind of out of my budget for a while, too. While the Air itself is beautifully exciting, I think half of the giddiness for me comes from the innovation it's driving -- innovation that will affect our lives in so many ways.

Thomas: :) I'm actually looking forward to checking out some of the musicals (The Fantasticks, The Man of La Mancha) I've never seen, so yes, this'll make me watch more. But I'm still a book person through and through, and that'll never change. :) A pity that it didn't work out between you and Apple, but we can still be friends. ;) (So my blog is becoming your journal? Cool. :P)

Ben, as I was reading the live blog of MacWorld I actually thought 'I wonder if this will make Ben want to watch tv/movies.' Actually my real reason for posting is to check and see if I ever told you that I interviewed with Apple in Cupertino. It was a good interview, but they were taking too long to get back to me and finally they wanted me to do another phone interview. In the mean time Capital Group needed to know and I really liked them, so I told Apple thanks but no thanks. I might have told you this whole story, if so then it is documented somewhere and my great great grandkids will stumble upon it and be happy (no, I do not write in my journal very often).

I saw the Macbook Air earlier this evening, and I'll just say it's a good thing application fees have left me broke enough that it's not really a temptation. Talk about beautiful, though--I just stared at the picture for a good two or three minutes.
