I haven't seen the SotU, but from what I've heard, you're spot-on. The current state of our politics is...hmm...words fail me. I almost want to get into politics myself, to try to fix the system, but I don't have enough passion for it. I'll try to make a difference through my writing instead. :)

I think this Non Sequitur piece was used as the basis of the State of the Union Address this evening. Only, people are clapping, even giving standing ovations, instead of laughing or sighing at the ridiculosity of it all.

Mary: They're redeemable at your local grocer's. :P

Scott: It's fixed now. :)

M: I've tried the Firefox del.icio.us extension but it seemed to slow things down a bit -- not worth using. If only there were a better solution...

del.icio.us is hard for me to use as well. I don't really use it for "social bookmarking" or even for marking things I want to have access to from any location. I use it to dump things I want to remember, but don't care enough to put in Safari.

Ben - I think there's a problem with the link to the Tolkien interview (I can't get it to work, at least). But I did get to it via youtube itself. Thanks!
