Not so twitterpated

Categories: Web, Random

While Facebook statuses (stati? :P) are admittedly useful in keeping up with the goings on in my friends’ lives, they (along with Twitter) seem just a bit…well…too much. A bombardment of buckshot. Granted, I don’t have to subscribe to the status feed, so I’m not saying this is a problem with Facebook (and I don’t use Twitter) — I’m just finding that microblogging, as they’re calling it, doesn’t really appeal to me. But it does make for fascinating sociological and psychological case studies.

For example, here are the latest twenty-six statuses that have come in off the wire (names changed, of course):

A is trying to fill a void, any advice?
B inhales snow flakes.
C is wondering when it will be Spring!
D is playing catch-up.
E is trying not to avoid it.
F is done with winter!!!!
G is almost done with grading.
H just got done with the most ridiculously pointless assignment ever but is glad that her audition went well.
I was nothing more than an almost innocent bystander.
J is relaxing…
K is twitterpated.
L is feeling so loved. Thank you all my friends near and far!
M is D300 bound!
N does like adventure-but not these sorts.
O is tired of being so confused!
P is welcoming in the Year of the Rat here at Grandma’s.
Q is put out.
R is in a funk.
S is sorry about that…
T has an ice pack, mac ‘n’ cheese, and the sara bareilles cd, what more could she want?
U wonders what she was thinking.
V is looking forward to another weekend when she can actually breathe!
W is going swimming tomorrow, anyone want to come??
X is getting the shaft on his trip to NCUR. Anybody got some extra money?
Y is not happy to be writing this brief.
Z’s favorite dessert is chocolate mousse - hint, hint. =)

Like I said, fascinating. :)

Hee hee…glad my status was on there. :) It is useful, and fascinating, yes? It gives you some background information into what (hypothetically, of course) I would have been thinking and what type of mood I would have been in had we had a “heated discussion” online last night.
