Health, hearts, and egosurfing

Categories: ToTM, Blogging, Random

I thought I was getting better. Bzzzt. Last night my health rappelled down to a new depth — then the rope snapped. I don’t want to say life is miserable, though. I feel wretched, but I’m trying to keep my spirits up in spite of it all. I stayed home today and rested. Tomorrow’s LTUE, though, and I’ve got my fingers crossed that somehow I’ll feel well enough to go — even if I’m pretty much incapacitated after I get there. Good thing it runs through Saturday.

Oh, yeah, it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow, too. I suppose I ought to care. I don’t. :) (But I’m not bitter. I just…don’t care.)

And I can’t resist this last bit: a post showed up in my trackback section tonight, entitled Let’s see how often Ben Googles himself. Talk about bait. :)

Anyway, I’ll reply to everyone’s comments on here as soon as I can.

Google or not, I’m glad you found my post, Ben. I like your blog and the comments it inspires, and I plan on being a part of those comments from now on.

Ben, you must get better! Must!

Over a thousand times? That’s incredible! I just topped 200 and I thought I was something…

But as to the real reason for my comment… did you REALLY just use the word “bzt”?!

I am so pleased.

Jeff: Thanks. :)

Katherine: If I know some magic way to wave a wand and abracadabra myself back into good health, I would. (Well, unless it came at some cost — giving the illness to one of my loved ones instead, for example.)

Annie: Haha, your blog is rubbing off on me. :) I was going to say that you ought to keep in mind that I’ve been writing on this blog for three years now, but then I checked yours and found that you started a month before me. Nix that. :) Really, though, posting frequency doesn’t matter nearly as much as posting quality — there’s nothing gold-medal about posting every day.
