Stake spotlight

Categories: LDS, Random, Humor

When I walked in to the stake offices this morning for stake presidency meeting, I found the counselors and other executive secretaries clustered around the wall. The wall that’s usually blank. Except it wasn’t blank anymore. This was on it:

Stake Spotlight

Can we say mortifying? I mean, that label at the bottom looks like it really ought to be saying, “Surgeon General Warning: Sisters, your children could look like this!” And those pictures? The bottom two were on Facebook, so that was okay, but the kid pics? I’ve never even seen those pictures before in my life.

And then with horror I remembered a few days ago when my mom called as I was eating lunch. “Ben,” she said, “how do I scan a picture and e-mail it?” So I explained it. And now I realize that I was an unwitting accomplice in this. I feel sick.

:P

I know who the culprit is, of course — one of the girls in the stake Relief Society presidency. And she’s leaving on a mission to Hawaii a week from Wednesday, which leaves precious little time to, you know, repay her for her kindness. ;)

Ha ha, that’s awesome. Is your favorite movie really Anne of Green Gables? If so, why?

2. Steph :)

Wow! Ben! That poster is AWESOME! Who did that?!? ;)

3. Whitney

That is the *funniest* thing I have ever seen in my life. Your mom must be so cool.

And yay for sisters serving missions!

Ben, I can’t wait for the girls to start flocking! After this, you’re pretty much irresistable! ;)

Holy smokes dude.

I’d be so ticked.

Oh, my heavens, Ben, that’s pretty much the funniest thing ever. Thank you for taking a picture and sharing it with us.

Brilliant.

I still can’t figure out why you are so concerned. I might just make one for myself and post it at my apartment complex. I’ve never been one to complain about free advertising.

Mary: Yes, it is. It’s because a) I have a crush on Anne, b) it has a wonderfully wholesome feeling about it, and c) I feel more in touch with humanity when I watch it. I’m including Anne of Avonlea in there too, of course.

Steph: Punk. :P

Whitney: I’ve still got to talk to my mom about family unity and circling the wagons and all… ~sigh~

Lisa: No flocking yet, I’m afraid. (Not that I’d really know how to handle it if it did happen, so I guess that’s good. :P)

sixline: :)

Katherine: You’re welcome. ~sigh~

e: What can I say…

Xister: Haha. Like I think I said to you the other day, I don’t want to give myself an unfair advantage over the other guys in the stake. :P
