Three thoughts

First, does anyone know if writing on your hand (in pen, of course) has any long-term side effects of the not-so-good variety?

Second, it’s really hard to get to bed on time — so much to do (like all of these comments on here I need to respond to :)), so little time — but I’m determined to keep going to bed early, because morning time really is more productive for me. And with waking up at 5, my body starts to conk out around 9:30 or 10 each night, which makes it pointless to fight it. Which is why I’m going to bed as soon as I post this. :)

Third, we had our first day of auditions for the New Play Project’s “Lost & Found” festival, and being an assistant director, I got to sit in on it from behind the table (to do the casting). In a way it reminded me a lot of hiring employees, but I do have to say that it’s a bit more fun than that. :) (In fact, it was a lot of fun.) Tomorrow we’ll have another two hours of auditions, then cast all the plays. And Thursday we have a full company meeting where we’ll read through all the plays. Putting on a show does take a lot of time, but so far I’ve found it to be one of the more rewarding pursuits I’ve come across. I have no regrets.

All I have to say is “darn you” for having auditions when I can’t go to them. Boo! I wanted to audition.

I really hope that ink doesn’t have long term effects… I have a permanent stain on the skin between my thumb and index finger on the back of my left hand from years of ‘post it’ notes.

It’s how I remember. ~shrug~

Joni: If you’re here over the summer, the next auditions will be June 24 and 25. And if that doesn’t work, put September 9 and 10 on your calendar and make sure you’re free. Heck, I’ll even see if I can write in a part for you (if I get a play accepted at either festival, of course :)).

sixline: Gasp. :P

Lol. I’ll let you know. And I will be here over the summer, so that should be fun. And for heaven’s sake, Ben, make it a *good* part. I don’t do boring :P.

I don’t write boring parts, Joni. :P
