Sleep deprivation is not a badge of honor. It’s true. The past few days I’ve been running on empty and it’s taking its toll. (Luckily it’s the exception rather than the rule.) Anyway, I submitted three short plays last night to the next New Play Project set (called Long Ago and Far Away), and we find out tomorrow which plays got accepted. Fingers crossed. And now it’s bedtime.
Well, one last thought. For me, it’s hard to get started writing a play, but once I’m actually writing, it’s generally a lot of fun. Right now I have idealistic visions of writing a couple plays a week for the rest of the year, amassing a huge body of work within a few years. Accomplishment is a better badge of honor than sleep deprivation. And writing all those plays is doable, certainly. But it won’t happen. ~sigh~ (Too many things to do in such a limited amount of time. Sure, I need to prioritize, but there’s still a lot of stuff at high priority. A lot.)
I really shouldn’t be writing blog posts when I’m this tired. :)
