Apples and oranges

Categories: Mac, Relationships

I’m diving into the depths of shallowness by saying this here, but girls who use Macs are far more attractive to me than girls who use PCs. I can’t even envision marrying a PC girl. Opposites attract, sure, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life debugging my wife’s Windows machine. But…if a girl converts to Mac, it’s just as good as if she’s always been a believer. ;)

(And no, silly, this isn’t the most important consideration on my list. But it’s up there. And who said I have a list anyway?)

Awesome! This post is my favorite ever, and you know what, I agree. My wife is way more attractive when she’s working on a Mac than when she’s working on a PC. She agrees that Macs are better, and the next step in our relationship is to get a Mac. Ha!

LOL.

Ben, I can’t believe you posted that! I literally laughed out loud. Just because a girl likes / uses PC’s over Macs does not mean YOU’ll spend the rest of your life debugging her machine.

Ok? Ok.

I have a PC.

I can operate on either machine.

And I can debug my own computer and troubleshoot issues on both :P.

Wait . . . what about ambicomputerous women with no preference?

5. Ben

James: Haha, glad you liked it. :)

Alyssa: I don’t know about that… :P

Joni: Being able to use both and debug both definitely earns some brownie points, but PCs feel like a contaminant in the universe. It’s to the point where I wouldn’t want one in my household, period. :P

Amy: Ambicomputerous is great — I’m that way myself — but I don’t think I go for the no preference thing. I want a woman with passion and strong opinions and good taste. She may be equally skilled at using both, but she has to have come to that fork in the road and consciously chosen the higher path, the Mac. :)

And just for the record, yes, I know Macs are more expensive than PCs and that does end up being a factor, but my preference here has nothing to do with wealth. A poor girl with a Mac is way more attractive than a rich girl with a PC. (If she’s poor and doesn’t have a computer at all, that’s okay as long as she would have chosen a Mac had she had the money. ;))

This is fun. :P

Ben, this is one of your finest posts. :) Just another thing to add to my list as I look for your future eternal companion…cashmere sweaters, ownership of a Mac…

I think you’re being picky.

Well, at least you prefaced your comment with this:

“I’m diving into the depths of shallowness by saying this here…”

Rachel: Haha, thanks. :) And have I mentioned books?!? Books are essential. (On the “future eternal companion” list, that is.)

sixline: Of course I am. That’s my prerogative. :P

Katherine: Oh, yes, I’m very aware of how shallow I am. :)
