It’s cold outside and supposed to snow tonight, and I love it. You know, it wasn’t till this year that I found myself actually excited for winter. And this half-fall/half-winter thing we’ve got going on right now is perfect literary weather. The air is full of magic and possibilities. (Perhaps, though, I’m just being influenced by the two Narnia soundtracks and the Lord of the Rings soundtracks, which capture the feel of this season perfectly.)

I know what you mean about the half fall, half winter thing. It’s the same here in Calgary Canada here, where I am. It’s sort of feeling like a December day, just before Christmas when it’s sunny and not much snow on the ground… there’s a chill in the air, but not a cold or bad chill, just more like fresh. …probably feels like Christmas/December cause of the Christmas music I’ve been playing since Monday… Hehehe.
I do love it. 2-3 months of “that feeling of December / Christmas” is wonderful to me. The best time of the year.
We keep fluctuating back and forth between almost-winter and back-to-summer-again. I wish it would just get cold and stay cold, frankly. (Even though it is rather nice out right now.) But yes, I love the chill in the air. Mmm.
